Josephine is the mother of Marshal, one of the children I filmed over 5 years for the series Britain: My New Home. When Marshal arrived in the UK at the age of 10 she hadn't seen him for 5 years. The series, which followed three children migrating to Britain, was broadcast on Channel 4 in 2006 and updated on More 4 in in 2011.

Josephine is now a campaigner on issues affecting refugees and minorities and an advocate for unaccompanied minors. She has a degree in health and social care from the University of Northumbria.
